Kernow Baseball CIC is the first Community Interest Company to be set up in Cornwall to promote the game of baseball across any and all Cornish communities interested in participating.
As a Not-for-Profit organization, we are committed to ensuring that every £ of player subscription, sponsor funds, grants, and bursaries will be fed into running baseball activities and competition across Cornwall.
We are blessed to operate an all inclusive amateur sports club that welcomes all to come and play this beautiful game with us. We offer a friendly environment to anyone looking to try something new and meet our steadily growing bunch of lovely folk, who also started their own baseball journeys very recently.
About us
A British born, but Canadian raised, family of 5 that collectively bring about 40 years experience of playing, coaching, fandom, umpiring & having fun with North America’s #1 pastime! We initially started with the Truro Blue Jays in Oct 2022, and soon decided we wanted to bring our amazing game to as many communities in Cornwall as we could!
Now with two established teams, and so many more to come, we are so excited to be bringing more baseball than ever before to this beautiful county!
We offer baseball training and competitive play in Cornwall and occasionally, further afield. All genders and gender identities are welcome.
With the help of our coaches, we ensure that all players learn the details involved in playing baseball, as well as the correct methods and techniques to explore and excel at different positions on the field. Everyone has an equal opportunity at trying out different areas of play and, along with the coaches, decide where they feel they perform the best and enjoy playing the most.
We have a mixture of venue options, both indoors and outdoor, to ensure training and game time can be a year round activity.
What we do
As an organization, we have not only managed to spread baseball across Cornwall, but build a caring and supportive community of people through the shared experience of trying something new. Valuable friendships have sprouted and continue to thrive inside and outside of the team.
Baseball is not only good for your physical wellbeing, but your mental wellbeing too. Being able to take a break from life outside the diamond and enjoy time with new found friends is what makes baseball so special to us and our players.
